Hi beautifuls, I am Tayia (Tay-uh) West but, you can call me West! 

Originating from Chesapeake, VA, I found my second home in the vibrant city of Richmond about a decade ago when I embarked on my journey at Virginia Union University, where I proudly became an alumna. In my dual roles within Education and City Council, I am fueled by a deep-seated passion for nurturing the potential of our youth and fostering positive change within our Richmond communities. 

My values are deeply rooted in Connection and Enjoyment of Life! I believe life should be lived to the fullest! Setting your intentions on doing what you love, have never done and always wanted to do. Choosing to engage in deep and sometimes hard conversations with those who you love and even those you just met! I have learned so much about myself, others and life through conversation. I know we will get to experience all of the above when accompanied by vulnerability, authenticity and receptibility! 

Richmond has so much to offer, see, taste and experience! I look forward to a thriving HNF chapter here that fosters a sense of belonging! Each time we connect will feel like a good time with good friends because that is what we are!

Fun facts about me: I am a plant mom! I love spending time outdoors, journaling, and reading a good book! I am learning to roller skate!
